Producing our 2 minute film- 'The Chat Room'
Towards the end of 2011, our class was split into three main groups, to begin producing our main task as part of our coursework. Our main task was to make the first two minutes of a film. I was chosen to work with Ali our producer, Ezra, and Lamide, and as a group we had to choose a specific genre for our film, and our three top genres were; Horror, Comedy and Action.

Preliminary Task
Our first piece of task using the camera was the Preliminary Task; Continuity task involving filming and editing a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character, with whom she/he then exchanges a couple of lines of dialogue. This task would be the first step to creating our final AS film, as it acts as a practise task, where we could familiarize ourselves with the equipments and experiment with the different uses of shots. Our main aims were to demonstrate the following terminologies;
• match on action
• shot/reverse shot
• the 180- degree rule
